Sneak Peek of Jack in the Box
(Taste-testing the new Jack's Summer Menu)
I eat a lot of fast food. This is most likely because I’m a night owl and I love to munch throughout the day no matter what time it is. So you can imagine how excited I was when Jack in the Box asked me to be one of the first people to try their new summer menu before it was even released to the public!
So what can you expect?
Spoiler Alert: The Hella-peno is hella good. Advanced apologies to the SoCalers that dispise the word hella!
The newest and most unique item is Hella-peno Munchie Meal. This is a burger heaped with stuffed and sliced jalapeños, gooey cheese, and taco sauce. It also comes with two tacos, halfsie fries (half regular, half curly) and a 20 oz. drink for $6! It's so affordable that it's not even worth it to just buy the burger a la carte when the whole combo is so cheap!
And there's a cute little game on the box. NAPKINGAMI. lol! They also have a taco game on the box as well. Love it!
This Hella-peno Burger pays homage to Norcal where it was first tested. If you're hungry after 9 p.m., you should definitely try ordering this. The peppers weren't too spicy. Jack in the Box didn't make the burger spicy just for the sake of having a spicy burger. The jalapeños brought out the taste of the patties. If you enjoy Jack in the Box's jalapeño poppers, then you'll love this new combo. It also comes with their tacos. How can you say no?
Jack’s also has two new fruit coolers. You can choose between Mango Mayhem and Twisted Strawberry. No matter what flavor you decide on, the sweet fruits are mixed with lemon-lime sparkling soda and served over ice.
My favorite item on the tasting menu is the BBQ Ultimate Cheeseburger. For those who are familiar with the Jack’s menu, this is a new take on their Ultimate Cheese Burger. BBQ sauce and grilled onions make a great addition to the two beef patties and the American and Swiss Cheese. 
Next was the Jalapeño Ranch Ultimate Cheeseburger. This burger is the Ultimate Cheeseburger except it is topped with ranch dressing and sliced jalapeños throughout the burger. So depending on if you prefer Ranch or BBQ sauce, you can order the respective new Ultimate Cheeseburgers.

These new items will be available to the public this Thursday, June 12th. They will be seasonal so do not expect them to become a permanent fixture on the menu. Do let me know which new item is your favorite when you get a chance to try it!
