Filipino Cuisine in West Covina!

Life of an entertainment journalist and food blogger is tough to balance at times! Don't worry though, I plan to be on the ball with more food posts so subscribe and bookmark away! Are you tired of having Chinese or Vietnamese food for the New Year? Well, today’s post gives you a Filipino option to visit! Pondahan in West Covina is a great place to experience Filipino Cuisine in the San Gabriel Valley. It’s more of a Filipino fusion place that has the authentic dishes you love, and some Americanized ones as well. Although they are a tad more expensive than the typical Filipino restaurant, Pondahan is worth the few extra bucks. Lunch specials start at $7.95.

For those unfamiliar, calamansi is a delicious citrus fruit from Asia.

Things I would recommend: Fresh Lumpia (egg rolls) Boneless Milkfish Garlic RIce Grilled meat platter Chicken adobo Banana turon and Ube Ice cream aka fried sweet banana with Taro Ice cream

I absolutely love Filipino food despite the fact that it's not the most healthy food around! You only live once, right?
