Celebrating Summer at Fig & Olive
Oh.. Summer! How are you here already? I could have swore it was Christmas not too long ago! Today, I wanted to give you readers some 411 on Fig & Olive's tasty new summer menu. For those unfamiliar with Fig & Olive, this French restaurant is located in prime LA real-estate on Melrose Place. Remember the tv show? The Melrose location in West Hollywood is their West Coast flagship location. It is absolutely gorgeous with double height ceilings, enclosed patio filed with rosemary plants, and a 50 foot tasting bar! So what's new on the menu and most importantly... what should you order?Fig & Olive has amazing crostini. I tried the Manchebo with fig, macron almond, Octopus with hummus, pimentos, Prosciutto with ricotta, fig, olive, walnut, Pea topped with asparagus, ricotta, lemon, thyme, the Burrata with tomato, pesto, balsamic, and the Goat Cheese with caramelized onion, chive. Hamachi Crudo. The summer menu, which is out now is based around the freshest, seasonal ingredients. I highly recommend the Hamachi Crudo!
