What to do on Halloween in LA
Still deciding on Halloween plans? What could be better than have a foodie Halloween? Here are three tasty Halloween events that I highly recommend checking out for those still looking for something fun to do on the 31st!
CHAYA DTLA: If you're a frequent reader of mine, then you know I'm a fan of Chaya. I've written about them for LA Weekly and a number of other outlets over the years. After all, when Chaya throws a party, you pay attention. They've been innovators in the industry since they created Tuna Tartare. Chaya knows how to throw a party and Halloween is no exception. Chaya DTLA will have 3 courses for $35 on Halloween evening and an all-night happy hour with a live DJ. They are offering an array of delicious bites to choose from as well as three creepy cocktails:
- Dark & Stormy Death Punch ($5 from 5pm-8pmon Halloween night)
- Levanta Muertos
- Children of the Corn

CHAYA VENICE: Chaya Venice will be serving up a spooky discounted Halloween menu and specialty cocktails as well for $13.13 from now until 10/30/15 and will be $6.66 on Halloween night.Choose from an array of unique eats including Kurage and scallop sashimi, Spicy Cod Roe Spaghetti, Spicy Tuna, Natto and Okra rolls, among a long list of others. For those Instagram-addicted foodies, there are three speciality Halloween cocktails available all throughout the month of October that are beyond creative and eye-catching. The 'Twerk or Treat' has a sugar spider web, made of hardened sugar and placed delicately atop the glass with Vodka, apricot liquor, splash simple syrup, splash sweet and sour. The 'Harvest Peach' is the epitome of fall and packs a sweet punch. The cocktail consists of bourbon, peach bitters, muddled peaches, sweet and sour. It is served with an orange sugar rim and caramelized peach garnish.The 'Witches Brew' has goughly eyes perfect for Halloween. Featuring two Lychee's with Luxardo cherries to look like eyeballs, the rum, muddled mint, Lychee juice, lime juice, soda and Midori are sure to make for a great picture and taste delicious as well.

Expect their unique, hand crafted sodas as well as some sweet treats starting Halloween night into the wee hours of November morning!
