Toyota x Mirai With Top Chef Mei Lin

I've been traveling a lot, but I always try to make it out to all the great events that take the time to invite me- especially when there's a fun experience and good food attached! I hopped off the plane super jetlagged from Asia to test drive Toyota’s new MIRAI -- which runs on hydrogen and has zero emissions except for water. Toyota even invited Top Chef Mei Lin to come up with  a “molecular gastronomy” menu for the Toyota Mirai event.

Top Chef @meilin21 came with a “molecular gastronomy” menu for the Toyota Mirai event. Menu included: 1) Peewee Potatoes, Onion Ash Soil, Comté Foam 2) Petrified parsnip with truffle & birch 3) Rose Air, Lychee, Vanilla Creme, Raspberry Sablé 4) Tomato Consommé, Basil Whey Caviar 5) Steak Tartare on Prawn Puff 6) Yuzu Elderflower otterpops 7) Yellow beet tartare 8) Cocktail "Gin & Tonic" - Juniper infused Sphere, housemade Tonic

Chef Lin's dishes were super innovative and of course it was so much fun to see her cook up close and personal. Click through my Instagram galleries to check out all the fun that Toyota and Privy threw! I was really surprised how much power the Mirai had. The speakers were pretty great too. Toyota is giving away 3 years worth of complimentary fuel and the government is giving a rebate as well so if you're in the market for a new car, this may be worth checking out.
