Limited Edition Truffle Ramen
You know how poke is a huge, overdone fad in Los Angeles right now? The same was with ramen a few years ago. The good part about that was only the best ramen places has managed to last until now. Because ramen was such a huge thing, we definitely had quite a few options. To be quite honest, I wasn't too excited to try a black truffle ramen. How could it really be that different? Let's just say I was pretty darn impressed. My tastebuds were happy. Jinya's truffle ramen is a limited edition ramen. It's called the Truffle Splash and has mushrooms, chasiu pork, crispy Brussels sprouts, Parmesan cheese, shaved black and white truffle, a raw egg, and black garlic oil. The ramen was advertised as being broth-less, but there is a slight broth to it. The ramen tastes like a light carbonara. Whereas I normally find carbonara too rich for me, this Truffle Splash hit all the right notes. Once the bowl arrives, there's an whole light aroma of truffle that permeates through the room. It's great. Only 10 bowls of Truffle Splash are available each day. As of right now, Jinya does not have a date when the special ramen will be over, so get on it asap while it's still available! Also, not all Jinya's are the same. There are Jinya expresses, etc. This Truffle Splash is from the Studio City Jinya, which also happens to be its original location.
